Laser Measures
The laser measure or laser measuring tool will enable you to
accurately measure distance, width and areas at the touch of a button.
A laser measuring tool has enormous practical uses for
engineers, trades people, property developers, real estate agents and everyone involved in do it yourself as
well as in sporting pursuits such as racing.
You could use it if you have a need for any of the following:
- Accurate and reliable measurements.
- Ability to measure distances, areas and volumes for material estimates.
- Determine room sizes, square and cubic dimensions
- Measure walls, ceiling of a room to estimate paint required.
- Home theater audio/video equipment placement
- Lining up of shelves, cupboards and furniture.
- Information in feet-inches, inches or meters.
LASER MEASURES
Laser tool targeting ensures a constant accuracy.
All you have to do is set your target, point the device and press the button and the measuring is complete. A
laser beam will travel to the object/distance and back again to the chip and measure the distance by
calculating the time taken. Laser measures have applications across many different areas from building and
construction, property development, scientific field work, GIS & GPS mapping, mining,
telecommunications
Not just for professionals, domestic users can get great benefits these laser measures. One
common example of their use if you have a home you want to sell, with a laser measuring device you can easily
uncover room dimensions, square footage, heights, distances.
LASER DISTANCE FINDER
A laser distance finder will have some of the following technical
abilities such as quick and accurate measurements, memory storage of data taken for later analysis, switching
between metric results to feet and inches and telling you when results are inaccurate or unable to be
obtained. You may have a client that wants information in a certain format – the more options you have the
better as far as I’m concerned. You spend less time making calculations.
LASER DISTANCE MEASURE
Once you have decided on which laser distance measure to buy depending on
what you need from it, you can get down to the business of understanding how your particular model works. Check the
manual for settings and variations. you should be able to flip between metric, feet and inches and so on. this
versatility comes in handy for accurate and detailed data.
HOW A LASER MEASURE WORKS
The principles are based on how much time the laser takes to reach the target
object and travel back again. the brain inside will be calculating this distance and feeding it back to you via the
LCD.
So you now you have your first readout and your valuable information from
your laser measure. Establish what it is you want to measure to i.e. what object in your field of view, preferably
in front of the target.
Always try and get a direct line of sight to begin with. All you have to do
now is aim your laser on the device and press the go button or start (it may be marked differently depending on
your model but you get the idea).
A bright and clear LCD screen is a must and hopefully you have one on yours
The laser measure will have sent its beam out which will have travelled to the target and back again.
These laser range finders and laser measuring tools are great time
savers cutting down on leg work and saving you from trying to stretch out that old tape measure. Once you have
invested in a device like this you will wonder how you ever got through your tasks or job without one. They really
are hard to live without and well worth adding to your box of tricks.
