An example of a laser distance measuring device is the Bosch DLR165K and is part of their new compact line of tools. It uses a nice and bright laser beam for accurate and precision pointing and measuring and is “the worlds smallest digital range finder” at only four inches high.

There are four built in reference points for taking readings “back, front, swing-out extension pin for measuring from inside corners and channels”.

These laser meaures have a large measuring range which extends from 2 inches to 165 feet and indirect length measurement which is handy for getting around obstacles and obstructions. You are also able to walk forward in continuous-length mode and the tool will adjust the data accordingly – very handy for many one person jobs and situations.

There is also a continuous laser mode for more time saving. Readouts and data come sin three types: Metric, Feet and inches and decimal feet
