Laser Measure: Prexiso2

Laser measure Prexiso2These laser measures are pleasing to hold and pretty simple to use making them nice and user friendly and a good buy. The Prexiso x2 is of the many high quality laser measures out there and is manufactured by Calculated Industries.

It comes in an ergonomically designed shape so that it fits well in your hand and a bright yellow casing which means you probably have a hard time losing sight of it! It is made for one person use. It comes with a 2 year warranty too. The beam is nice and bright and easily observed as you calculate the distances you need. It will perform calculations on the fly, adding and subtracting as you go. It does have a reputation for being easy and childs play to work which is no bad thing.

The screen is a fairly bright LCD and readouts can be given in the usual feet-inches, inches or meters as you would expect on any professional model. You couldn’t do without this really. Okay, so it will take in a distance from 4 inches to 100 feet (0.1 m to 30.5 m) and they claim it is accurate to within 1/8 inch, which is pretty snazzy. It will handle more complex mathematics too such as the Pythagoras two sides of a triangle to get the third and so on.

CONTINUOUS MEASURING

With this laser measure you have points on the back and front for measuring with and functions such as continuous measuring whilst walking is handy. Although there are many models that have more measuring and reference points than this so you might want to think about this aspect. Are you going to be in a lot of tight corners for instance? You can calculate areas and volumes so it will cover a multitude of jobs and potential industry applications no matter what you’re background. Other specification with the Prexiso X2 are:

  • Auto shut off to save battery life
  • 2x AA batteries included
  • Nylon carrying pouch with convenient belt strap and hook.

Price wise it is a few dollars more than some laser measures but not much and is a good buy if you want comfort, single person use and simplicity of operation.
